I might say, that I tried pretty hard on saturday to get one, but I also, would say, that I didn't actually try very hard at all.

it was just a crazy day. I think I did some wallowing instead. I'm pretty sure the time slot that was for tattooing was spent sitting on weird cement in a small nook on Frances street.

SOMETHING TO HOLD ONTO

My friend Matt lent us this CD (yes, a compact disc, crazy, right?) a few weeks ago and we've been listening to it obsessively ever since.  It's actually the only thing I've listened to for weeks. I've tried listening to other things, but I can only stand about 30 seconds until I switch it back to the Reigning Sound.

Every track is amazing, seriously, it fries my little brains.  My favorite song is called Something to Hold Onto, it's one of the most beautiful and perfectly written songs I'VE EVER HEARD. Everybody should listen to this record and weep over its perfection.

Greg Cartwright is a genius and his bass player is actually a terrifying cowboy.

you can tell, just by looking at these fuckers that they make better music than you, all your friends and pretty much anybody you'll ever meet.  please notice Greg's grey boots (I'm pretending they are the same as mine), the cowboy's terrifying demeanor and the keyboard player's hand that looks like a weird fakey cake hand and how tiny the drummer is comparatively.

we get to play a show this saturday for a motorcycle shop's summer party.  when I first met some of these guys I was kind of afraid of them but it turns out they are all KITTENS. some of them do stick and poke tattoos and are really really good at them.  my brother and I are planning on getting our first tattoos ever, a la banger. I keep talking a big story but I'm the ultimate sissy, so we'll see if it actually happens.  IF it does.. you'll hear about it here!

I also want to post some pictures of all my friends amazing banger tattoos.. SOON!

WHEN WE WERE YOUNG AND SMART

There was a time in my life when I used my brain to make movies.  The friends I made the most movies with were Connor McGuire and Kelsey Chobotar.  We were 15 year old all-stars. Then we got old and only 2/3 of us continued being smart... but at least I've got pretty hair, right?
